Hi I have a m reg Renault Espace and the Power Steering Belt seems to be slipping especialy when its wet does anyone know how to adjust this it squeels as im going round corners and the steering becomes very stiff Thanks for any advice given

The steering pump should have an adjustable bolt arrangement in much the same way an alternator does, usually involves slackening a pinch bolt and winding in a tensioner bolt, then retightening the pinch bolt. Get a look at a Haynes manual or similar.

Try tightening the belt. P/s belts have to be surprisingly tight for them not to slip when they get wet. Maybe some undershields are missing. Mike.
