Fiat Uno 1.0ie 93K 53000 miles

Have had the car for 5 years with no problems except when started the revs would not die down for an age. Have fitted a replacement stepper motor which has solved that problem but has shown that the engine is ticking over at

1000rpm instead of the 800rpm it should be. Which part is likely to be the problem, and can it be sorted without a visit to FIAT.

Yes you can send it to fiat but cost you money just may need the revs turning down. To 800 rpm
