2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 in Houston - Good offer from my dealer

I just got an email from my local Mazda sales guy John Griffin @ Jeff Haas in Houston that they have a 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 that they've marked down from $26,020 to $18,999. It's a this one and this one only cause its been there too long offer if anyone is in the market. He wrote to me because I had been looking in December to replace my 2003 that was destroyed in an accident this past August. I already bought my new little bundle of happiness but thought this was a good price for a Speed so wanted to pass it on. When I dealt with John last February he was a straight up guy and I felt like I was treated honestly. Would have bought from him again this time but in December we couldn't meet on price.. -Carol

Carol and All, There are two of them in Seattle, Red and a Ti. for that price too. They have been in the Seattle Times paper for two weeks now.

The '06 redesign is on its way. They may be getting nervous about moving the old style--especially if the rumors of bigger engines are true. Most knowledgeable buyers looking for a new(ish) car will be cautious.

Yes, I think you are correct. I have a problem with spending that that much money on a M/S with newer things comming up on 2006. I would love to have a M/S but not at that price.
