Hard tops from 90 thru present will fit any year Miata. Many available on ebay. likely to pay between $900-1200.

About the same as a '96, little less than a '93, little more than a '95
Yes they will fit, but the cost involved can vary widely depending on the combination of car year and top year. See for more info:

What is the composition of the Miata hardtop under that paint?

Fiberglass or something similar. AFAIK, they only weigh around 40 pounds.

It's definitely some sort of plastic/resin stuff. Don't know if it's got fiber reinforcement or not.
And that's mostly the window.
