I installed an FM-II last summer in my 1990 Miata and did the timing belt and the crank front seal and bolt combo while in there. Car runs great and required a new clutch in no time! Just installed an ACT last week ( wow this is a real grunt workout) and did the rear seals too. Back on the road till snow hits.
Now I need to tune the Link for the upcoming e-test next year. As a winter project I got an old analog SUN IR emission tester off e-bay. The unit is an EPA75 infrared differential absorption unit. Looks like it fell off the truck a couple of times on the way in addition to 25 years of hard use and dirt. My background is in optics and electronics so the spectro unit is cleaned and tested and most of the rest looks reparable. However when received all the pump and sensor hoses were broken or snapped off by vibration or missing altogether and many hardened bits were at the bottom of the chassis.
Would a Miata lover in this forum have a similar unit and describe the routing of the vacuum hoses please? A photo or diagram would be grand...
