Which exhaust mod for '97 w/ JRSC?

I have a '97 with a Jackson supercharger. I have 5000 miles on the SC and I love it. Now I have enough money to put on either headers or a better muffler/cat. Looking at the exhaust manifold, it looks fairly non-restrictive so I'm thinking that I might get the most bang for the buck with a better muffler. What do you think?

Of course, now I'll ask for recommendations. I'm thinking the Jackson Racing muffler but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks very much for any input.

I don't have one, but there are a ton of choices. A 2.25" catback should yield a bit more power without raising the boost. You already know that a supercharger changes the nature and volume of the exhaust note; some aftermarket mufflers that are fine on a stock motor may be too loud and raspy with a JRSC. Or not, if you like it that way. There's no substitute for listening to other people's Miatas.

In that I am building my '97 from the opposite direction, (meaning I did suspension, brakes and exhaust before moving to the S/C) my solution was a Racing Beat 4-to-1 header, FM high-flow cat, reasonated mid-pipe and the FM Naturally Aspirated Dual Exhaust. -- Even though I haven't saved enough for the S/C yet, I tend to scoot along rather well with the forced-induction crowd.
