I've noticed some proteges (at least in the 1999 to 2003 models) have what appears to be a side turn signal light mounted just above the model sticker on the front fenders, and some don't. Was this a factory option as part of an option package, or a dealer installed thing. Thanks in advance.

Double check the model years. Those were new in 2001 or 2002.
