I got a call from the state trooper today. He got the woman who hit my MINI. She basically told him the same story I did and then said she said she ran because she was scare. She was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, fault for the accident and also careless driving. What a relief they got this woman. Now I can relax with the knowledge that my insurance can now go after her insurance or whatever goes on. My biggest worry was that there would be nobody charged in this thing.
After 2 1/2 days of being pissed off and depressed I'm finally in somewhat of a good mood.
Good for them, John! She was scared? I bet she is really scared now. She could have easily pulled over, accepted fault, and everything would have been okay. Now she has more then just points on her record and will have to pay fines on top of that. What an idiot. How's your neck? Feeling a bit sore? ;) Good luck on getting your baby fixed, John. Why he chased her down made sense to me in the first place. I didn't see in his initial post that *he* broke any laws or endangered anyone. The woman who hit him was the one who was a danger -- or at the very least someone who needed to be caught and charged with a CRIME. Police are rarely where you need them and sometimes it takes responsible citizens to make sure lawbreakers are caught.
And just because you say you're not a troll, doesn't mean you're not. I don't see where you have ever had anything worthwhile to contribute to the NEW MINI group. Does that make you a troll? Perhaps. It at lease makes you someone that would make a fine contribution to the killfile.

On topic.... I saw a red MINI, white top yesterday on Mc Arthur Drive in Alexandria, Louisiana...... not sure where the nearest MINI dealer is.... but its the first MINI I have seen in the flesh.
