My 2000 Montero Sport transmission started slipping and dstuttering in 2nd gear after I took out and recharged the battery. I thought that I had read somewhere that the transmissions needed a software update for this model year. Does anyone know any thing about the update, and could I need to get it done again since I had the battery out for a couple of days? Or is it just time for the tranny to go. I have 95,000 on the clock.
