Well I'm picking up the Volvo on Sunday, and the road to bling has started. The starting point:

that's actually it for now, apart from a few subtle adjustments, but it's a start!

Still trying to sort out a brake upgrade, but I've acquired a few bits and peices to try out, just a matter of trial and error till something fits :)

I once saw a grill just like that for the 405 on Ebay - i nearly had it just cos it was so rare, then i caved when it got to like, £60 :-)

One of the 2.3T engines must fit surely :D I'm sure you're all aware of this site, but i'm posting it anyway 'cos i think its cool -

you have very weird taste indeed :)

Those alloys are 14", so not sure what brake kit you are going to be able to fit behind them?!

Tim..

Yeah I know. The one I'm planning should fit behind them. If not they'll go back on ebay and I'll grab a set off 15s from a 400.

Wuss :)

Yes well aware!! Unfortunately road rally rules dictate no turbos, however the normally aspirated 2.3 8v bolts straight in for a marginally power/torque increase for not much money (probably £100 for the engine). But the 2.3 16v lump could probably be put in with a little bit more hassle, but is also a lot rarer and therefore more expensive!!

PLenty of other stuff to do first though!!

RWD, nicely balanced, not much power with only 120bhp, but very reliable/strong with lots of tuning potential. And the way it's perceived by you and others makes it cheap to buy and cheap to insure :)

I remember J Clarkson on top gear "modifiying" one of those- really funny too, anyone remember that?

With a tree wasn't it?
