130 bhp in standard trim, loses a lot due to seppo emissions regs at the time. The V6 from the Espace was the same motor... and makes a useful upgrade!

Renault and Volvo have used a lot of shared engined and transmissions. The 440 and 480 range used Renault. A lot of boy racers build up R5 GTTs using the parts from the 1.8 Turbo

440 and 480's.

Biggest weakness in the 480 was the central brain that did everything from controlling the engine to operating the dash and popup lights. About £500 id it goes wrong and if you can locate a good one.

Oh year, and it used Bendix FI ISTR, not the most reliable.
