Its so good that Ford have improved their build quality over recent years. Have speakers on for full effect.

Ford's what ?

In news: snipped-for-privacy@individual.net, DanTXD decided to enlighten our sheltered souls with a rant as follows

I rented a car to a girl a few months back who was having the exact same problem with her StreetKa, it was schlepped round numerous stealerships until eventually it turned out there was a stealership in South Wales that could fix 'em. Her Ka was there for a week or so but came back watertight, with a 6 CD autochanger for her troubles.

Mate of mines missus has one that's watertight, great lil' thing to drive.

South Wales? You might even convince SteveH to buy one, in that case.

Indeed, bit of a pisstake that she had to take her car from Wallasey to South Wales just to sort a simple fault.

Maybe this is funnier...

The Lotus Elise I drove leaked like a seive when it rained. Not that you care when you are driving it.

Yeah those GT40s are complete piles of s*it

Fraser

Yuo mean the *real* GT40 thats was awesome or their latest "supercar" effort, you know the one they has to recall, delay the release dat of and up the price about 25k from the price people were originally offered them at?

;o)

Mason

I'd have either but I have a soft spot for the old one. And a hard spot for the new one.

Fraser

Heh, don't get me wrong, I think the new GT40 is a stunning car, just a bit of a joke as their first attempt at a supercar for umpteen years.

Ford do churn out some crap though.

Mason

That is what is known as a Win/Win situation. Playing with cars much faster and better. Normally they whup your arse, you would expect to get whupped, but as long as you gave it a decent go you get the cred, but sometimes, just sometimes, they fluff a change, shortshift or miss a gear, or go to ovetake and get stuck behind a slower car as you nip through on the inside. And the best thing is, this can usually be done at legal speeds, enjoying picking the best line, having the right gear to make the punch through when you need, or knowing how much your car can hold on a corner.

And when you get that break, and a good car is let down by a bad driver, it feels good.

There is no new GT40. Actually, there wasn't even an old GT40.

I was gonna point that out but i lost my pedance :)
