Go to Hawaii. It looks nice there on the tele :-)

Seriously guys, this is a really lame argument hehe :-)

Heh, not my kind of place. I'm thinking somewhere in Europe where I can make money and still get back here for Easyjet prices...

My mates 'rents have just moved to Southern France - seems nice. Although, apparently there is a lot of French people there, so you might wanna take a bat or something...

Somewhere similar would be good, maybe the Netherlands, possibly Austria, maybe even Czech. I'd love to go back to Italy, but the regulations regarding importing and exporting cars are crazy - same with Greece, I'd like to go and live on Zante again.

Don't fancy Wales then?

Nah, nice place, but run by the same idiots that run England on the whole, besides, I don't want to live on some "commuter belt" sink estate :-p

No there wasn't.

That was a mildly interesting executive barge, whereas a "hot hatch" generally refers to a skateboard type car; nippy and compact.

That said, how the flying f*ck did you get yourself sidetracked onto the Granada? Your previous post was about the *Sierra* Cosworth...

Citroen Saxo 1.6i 16v VTS Fiat Turbo ie Ford Escort RS 2000 Ford Fiesta 1.6 RS Turbo Ford Fiesta RS 1800i Ford Focus ST170 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2.0 Renault Clio 2.0 16v Williams Vauxhall Astra 2.0i 16v GSi Volkswagen Golf 2.8 VR6 Volkswagen Polo G40

All these cars could be considered hot hatches (some more than others) The Granada Cosworth comes close (a few tenths of a second) or beats most of these cars in performance.

Exactly, I wouldn't call the BX compact.

I was trying to think of the largest hatchback I know.

Grrrr, Hang on a minute....

These bloody things are hard to keep up with you know :)

Right, Granada may keep up with or better X amount of hot hatches... so does a Lambourghini Countach, but that's hardly the same kind of car either.

It's mid-size, certainly not big.

You're right, the Countach isn't a hatchback.

That was the whole point... :)

But the Granada is, and since we were talking about 'hot hatches' could be included.

Just out of the sake of sheer boredom and thread frippery, I've decided to rate the ones below I've driven and owned.

Fun, but the turboed one I drove was pants.

Fun, until rot gets to them, I preferred my Abarth 130TC

If it's a hatch, which it is, I enjoyed my Mk5 one.

Prefer the car below.

Quite good fun, worryingly enough.

Haven't tried one, but have tried the RS, and that's amusing

Oooh, I've had three of these, fun, but nervewracking.

Had a 306 S16 for a short while, nice. GTi-6 probably better.

Nearly bought a new one, but an argument about £1.50 meant I didn't buy it.

FWD Vauxhall = s**te with decent engine.

Nice motor, awful car

I like these.

That much is true.

No, primarily because it's a wanky executive barge.

HTH

I'd like to hear the full story, please.

No it doesn't, since you have missed the point.

He offered them £1.50, they told him to f*ck off.

No what doesn't what ???

I'm trying, really I am, but there doesn't actually seem to be one, just backtracking and misdirection :)

Ah, abridged long stories - you can't beat 'em :)
