When did the Gumball Rally become illegal or a road race? Granted some of the participants choose to drive like idiots but the Gumball itself isn't a race or illegal.
They are always very carful not to call it a race heh. But anyone who's watched any of the footage will know this was always going to happen. It's amazing that it hasn't happened before, and that there haven't been more deaths really. Some of the original petrolhead drivers are probably very talented, but everyone knows a lot of the entrants are just rich people in cars with waaaaaaaaaay more talent than them, going far beyond their abilities - hence every (two or was it three?) Carrera GT entered this year was written off, along with a Ford GT. S'a shame really, these aren't exactly common cars :-)

The race is illegal, he crashed his car, killed a person and heavily injured somebody else. On top of that he fled. The driver is in deeper s*it than the heap you live in.

Actually it is a race. Not all races are about who finishes first. Time trials are such an event.

In what way is it a race then? Why don't the police arrest every participant as soon as it starts if it's a race?
