First mod done.

Wipers were a bit worn, and I noticed the drivers side blade edge had started to split away from the rest of the rubber. All looked fine till you lifted it away to clean and you saw the rip.

So I ordered a set of Bosch retrofit aerotwin wipers. Like cool lowprofile ones fitted to moderns, but with a standard j hook fitting.

I could have bought some nasty horrible ones from Wilkinsons or Aldi/Lidl but I hate cheap squeaky wipers with poor quality fixing that either snap when fitting or get loose with movement and add to the squeaking.

Crap wiper blades are one of those things not worth bothering with.

Some people I know think I'm mad when I've spent £20 on wipers for a £100 car, but they do last longer.

I like these flat aerowipers on the newly economical Lexus now too.

Jesus Christ! You think fitting a new set of wipers is a "modification"? Sad person! Next you will be sticking a K&N in which passes high volumes of UNFILTERED air to sandblast your engine and ruin your MAF sensor. Maybe a dustbin exhaust to make it sound like there is no exhaust? What about "chipping" to add that extra 1BHP or a new cam that makes the car so rough it's slower and rougher. Oh dear, there is just no hope for you. The biggest business has been "car modifications" for years. People could have saved the money thrown away to buy a new car, a better one. It's all a con. My windscreen wipers were £27 from the main dealer and are still perfectly OK 4 years later, you must have bought a crap car/bits. I'll sell you a giant airfix body kit and Peco (rot after a year) exhaust for £4250.37 inc VAT if you want as it will make your car go 200mph.

I done the same, and it is a mod take no notice of the c*ck, a mod is defined in my books as doing somthing to make your car better, it does not have to make it go faster, I changed my wipers for the 2003+ Aero ones as they are much better but they cost me like 80 quid for orginal audi ones :) that is Arm and Wiper...

Coincidentally our first mod to the C1 was a larger rear windscreen wiper. Dirt seems to be attracted to the rear window and the standard wiper is far too small. The extra few inches really do make a difference ;)

I put Bosch AeroTwin wipers on the Vee. They weren't really any different to the normal ones (before they fell apart) except for at sort've, normal cruising pace on the motorway, 85-90ish was the point that the normal ones sometimes lifted a bit when wiping. Which was a mild annoyance, but then they self destructed anyway in the snow, so I got the Bosch ones.

I've talked some shit before, but this has to be one of my least interesting posts ever...

Bigger than like, the computer business...? Wow, there must be a shitload of people modding their cars these days...

This guy is the same Tiscali idiot bloke on a second account.

A little while ago, maybe a month so, I can't remember where I read it now, it might have been the bargains group but I was reading about kitchen appliances *yawn* an subbed to some extras to read. The spineless cretin actually replied to someone who wound him up so much you could almost hear him throwing his glasses and cardy at his monitor, it was hilarious to read hehe!

The guy who owned him, pointed out that our cretin friend claims to sell car mods, be a mechanic, a police man and also accident investigator, he sells TVs as well and builds people PC's. He knows a lot too - for example, did you know that they don't make LCD TVs anymore? They're just trying to get rid of them (and have been for a while apparently...) because they've got these HUGE warehouses full of TVs that are the 'new' technology (sometimes he says OLED, sometimes other things) and they're just getting rid of the current market ones so they can sell you these....

The poor, mid-forties virgin was just so angry, I'd never seen him do anything other than copy and paste one of a few responses (one for each of his jobs/areas of expertise, such as self anal stimulation) then run away - as you expect of someone who hadn't been outside for 15 years, and the only woman he's seen in the flesh in the last 6 months was a lady collecting for charity who knocked on his door. She felt so sorry for him though as soon as she saw him, that she actually gave him money... Allegedly as well he tried (again) to get a hooker round, but they all knock on the door, he opens it and they burst out laughing in his face, and remind him that "Management reserves the right to refuse service"...

Well, for me, less moving parts=3Dmore efficient, and lower profile =3D better fuel economy. Can't lose can I.
