Ford seats

Gah. Just realised that whatever I put in the Ka will have to have a flip forward mechanism to let people in the back. FFS...

Just get a decent drivers seat and leave the passenger seat as it is so you don't need to bother with a flip forward seat. It's got the benefit of when you're giving people lifts you don't have to bother to get out. It looks odd but you can put the old seat back in when you come to sell it.

Yeah, I thought of that, but don't want the car to look too Kev ish. Bucket seats in a Ka would look a bit daft, I'd quite like something that I don't slide out of at 45 on roundabouts... If I spot anything with better seats in a scrappy I might have em.

Blimey. Cheapest seat they have for the Ka, and the fitting kit = £565.

I'd bloody want em to be at that price. Can they drive the car to the pub and back for me?

Find a specialist Ford Breakers. Try and find the leather or decent fabic recliners from an RS models 3 door. Ford used to (don't know if they still do) use Recaro badged as ford in the RS's and other performance cars. Vauxhall did the same in their performance versions, but it might be easier to mate the subframe from a Ford seat to a ford fitted recaro.
