Well folks, business plans mean the Golf must go so I'm offering it to you lot first.
Spec - for those who don't know or don't regularly read the drivel on here as as follows.
'89 Mk2, 3dr, small bumper, Golf GTi 8v with 2.0 AGG / PB engine transplant. New clutch, new head gasket, new cambelt (less than 5000 miles old), utterly standard apart from the engine conversion. 154k miles, insanely full service history - mainly from VW specialist, MOT til end Feb '08, tax til end Dec '07, Tornado red, all handbooks, service books etc, steel wheels, Sony "Black panel" remote stereo with 10 disc CD changer, all geometry was set expensively a few months ago and still seems fine, no tappet noise or anything untoward with the engine, fully working MFA, 35-55 mpg, approx 130 bhp (guess) with around 140 lb ft torque, 3 previous owners - one company for two years then older chap until 2006 when his son bought it from him (was registered to sons wife) and me for the last 6 months. Tidy interior pretty clean outside bar annoying dent on passengers door. NS Outer CV joint is beginning to rattle but it's been like that since I got it and hasn't got any worse..
Offers around a grand, may take cheaper p/x and cash (must be 1/2 decent and reliable with t&t though, don't care if it's oddball.).
