God I have that age old petrol head dilema to face.

What car to drive today. Both cars are red, both are 2 litre, both are turbo charged. One a small tight 4x4 with low slung bucket seats, a very tight gearchange, a sweat gearbox and fantastic handling, but an oil leaky engine that might not need much to put right, and a rear diff that clunks, but I have a replacement to fit instead.

or the slower crusing slightly ragged roofed, water tight, scrabbly but more laidback softer sprung convertable with the decadent leather interior, but no aircon?

Ahh the choices. I know I should sell the Celica, it drinks for england. But it drives like a go cart. The Saab is softer but so comfy on a cruise, and uses about 1/2 the petrol on a week by week basis. How can I make the decission.

[...naughty but nice...]

Sell both, buy a BMW 330i in the body style of your choice/budget - you get sharp handling, bomb-proof oily bits and a juice habit more like the Saab than the Sleeker and maybe even a ragtop...

SWMBO has put an embargo on any kind of BMW. She says they have "scary faces" like a skull when you see them in your rear view mirror.

But that's a good thing. Especially when you have d******ds sitting in the right hand lane doing 20ks under the limit.

People know the Saab grille. Even BMWs and Mercs move for a properly driven classic Saab with the DRLs on.
