low blow turbos never feel fast, smooth though. I always go FPT.

Or... buy the LPT and then chip it. :-)

Or strap a mahoosively oversized turbo onto a Rover V8 that can can't even feed the bugger under 2500 rpm, when that kicks in, you can't miss the turbo effect.

I suspect that sales in the UK will increase rather dramatically too. With a few years of depreciation under their belts and I suspect I'll be quite tempted by them myself..

That might not be too far off - conventional TD torque curves are such that you have a pretty flat power plateau around the peak - e.g. BMW 2.0

150BHp diesel: 150 BHP peak @ 4000rpm, but >140BHp from 3000-4500rpm, and about 125BHp @ 2500rpm.
