i could go down clacton too if i wanted i'm sure it's just as nice there

*cough*

Pfft. I was at the beach yesterday. Of course it was dark and raining and there was a 50 mph wind, but it's still a sodding beach, and I didn't get sunburnt.

I have thought about an online business. But being a geek, I'm developer, not a sales or marketting guru. I've tried to think of what I would do, but I don't know what people would want, where I would get it, what I should be paying for it, How I can convince other people it is what they want, or even what the sales medium should look like.

Have you seen how much water you need to wash and rinse a car properly?

Yes, you'll need a van.

We have somebody that comes around to the office every fortnight or so. £12.50 for a "mini valet" (inside, out, wheels and tyres, quick polish - good value). £35 for a full valet (deeper clean, more wax, shampoos everything, not so good value, causes condensation problems in the winter meh).

Reasonable living, out in all weathers and the customer expects a certain standard.

I have the Saab done. It suits me fine, I have to park some distance from home to avoid window smashings and what not. £12.50 a month and the car looks good, works for me.

I almost feel jealous. Mine had 35 degree celcius temp, no wind, bikini chicks as far as the eye can see and I got a tan and no sunburn. On second thoughts I'm not jealous at all. : P

Sounds like the guy we had come round. And the tank of water for his=20 escort/maestro/Astra sized van was about 1/2 of the size of the storage=20 capacity. I imagine he can use slightly less with a jet wash than just a=20 hose, but I bet he still needed to fill up several times a day.

I bet beefed up suspension is needed if you want to stop it flipping=20 onto it's roof after every fill up too.

Heh. Funnily enough, my sister's just sold her flat round your way (ish - Tuart Hill) and is heading back to England before the end of the month.

Tuart. Is that really pronounced the way it sounds in my head? :-D

That is about 10 mins from my house. What made her go back?

Fraser

From the sound of it, appalling weather conditions and bikini competition.
