There you go Pete - a car for your twin turbo kit :-)

Rob, is that 3.9 litre V8 a standard thing, or did you get it bored out? (probably a stupid question) - also is it a P6?

Well, I hate to say it, but I (and a few others) did warn you.

The easy bit is attacking the bodywork with an angle grinder.

In news:xgJBc.219$cT4.118@newsfe1-win, AstraVanMan decided to enlighten our sheltered souls with a rant as follows

Aye, heh.. just a shame I had a random phone call off some geezer in Kent yesterday, wants to buy the turbo kit. I'll have to find out how much to courier it to Kent now :-|

I *may* be in the market for a 24v Scorpio though. preferably one with a knackered gearbox or bodywork troubles. Piece of piss to put 'em in the

4x4..

I was wondering about that - I'm on the lookout for a quick, cheap and reasonably tough estate. The XR4x4 is an option if I can find a tidy one, but with only 150BHp I don't reckon it'd be all that quick. On the other hand, with the 24v cosworth engine in there, it should be plenty quick enough. Just how trivial a job is it?

If it ever existed in the first place that is, I think it's all bullshit and look forward to you posting any meaningful pictures of the build process or the remains of the car to prove me wrong.

The very thing I could be tempted into fronting up some wedge for. How much for the engine and box - if it's a 5 speed.

Why not just use a Scorpio 24v estate in the first place? They're dirt cheap, tough and pretty quick.

I thought they weighed in at about 1600kg, but it seems they are more like just under 1400, so they may be worth a look after all - cheers.
