Still doesn't change the fact that the 914 is an ugly POS.
Well the 411 cars were the VW next generation at the similar time. It was a a modified VW engine, but so was the flat 4 in the original
356.Yeah, but the 924 was originally meant to be a VW, co-developed with Audi, but they bottled it with Suez, and flogged the project to Porsche through the interest of the Pieche family in both companies.
I love the way it looks, particularly in LeMans trim.
Same octane as E85 and under 1/2 the price.
Cost of changes to maps and fuel system (bigger injectors) needed to run E85 would go a long way towards cost of LPG kit.
On old cars (carbs and early open loop injection) you could basically wap it on and tune it by ear/smell. But anything vaguely modern needs a decent install, extra computers and decent tweak once fitted. But it is still pretty idiot proof once fitted.
