MOT regs abs warning lights

Ya I know. I was just being an argumentative git heh.

I'm supposing it was in the 1970s and 1980s, yes?

Hehehe! Many modern engines are broadly similar. But I guess modern drivers just rely on their brakes more than anything else. I still remember by driving instructor encouraging me to change down through the gears when stopping because the Polo's brakes weren't all that good. This was back in

1992... but then I guess he was a bit of a fossil, heh.

I guess this happens more and more. There's more competition for space so people take smaller gaps. And cars are getting quicker as a rule of thumb, plus people believe that brakes are just better and better...

I can imagine how the conversation went. My ex-girlfriend used to try to push a 2G stop when Flopsie the bunny rabbit hopped out in front of us. Trouble is, her thought process was so linear that she didn't equate the concept of slowing down for bunnies that she can't see. So we'd hoon through the woods with 60 showing on the clock, then lock up three wheels because bunny hopped out...

It's a funny old world really. Writing of speed cameras... I refuse to call them "safety cameras" because of the number of idiots who have a speedo showing 3 mph over the speed limit and proceed to halve their speed in the last fifty metres before they reach a camera.

A safety camera might take a picture of a car when it detected an active mobile signal...
