Nearly...

Nearly swapped the Scorpio for a Golf GTI 16v in black, 3dr. Decided the Golf was a little bit too ratty though, and I prefer 8vs anyway.

So the Scorpio gets MOTd this week, wonder if it'll still be impossible to sell then...

£300, MOT/Tax July, Fecking horrible loud exhaust, interior tidy enough and MFA worked, engine fine except one sticky follower, one suspension bush worn, and patches of rust *but not through*. Went well enough and a few hundred would make it really not bad at all.

Unless you want the Scorpio, of course? *grin*

It was the Scorpio I was talking about - really.

Seriously? 2.3 Ultima Auto Estate. Black + couple of rusty bits. 140K miles. Been looked after alright but is definitely at the "replace hoses and vacuum pipes or expect oddness" stage. Has had new wishbones, alternator, battery, inlet manifold and so forth in the past 2.5 years. Sunroof tilts but the frame around the glass has rusted and bulged, so it won't go down to slide back - it does if you shove it.

OTOH, assuming the ABS light behaves for the MOT (intermittent, suspect OSF wheel) and the handbrake doesn't fail again (it sticks, due to lack of use), it'll be £500 with MOT until May '07 and tax August. And it'll have new tyres on the front.
