well the poor 205 sat most of the driveway looking sorry for itself, So i decided to treat her

Theres a set of adjustable konis on the way thanks to ebay, and after a bit of searching i've ordered a Grp N Exhaust system for her too :)

add to that a big box of service goodies from the factors at lunch time today inc oil/air/fuel filters plugs/leads and discs and pads front and back :)

so i'm off to the garage to fit the service stuff and then get ready to rip the parcel guys arm off first thing in the morning :)

tis nice to have been bit by the modding bug again

Shame - I've got a set of front discs and pads for a 1.6 205 GTi that I've had sitting around here for a good few years now!

They're not new, and whilst it's not worth pissing about with used bits, they had literally done *very* few miles on the car they were fitted to before it was scrapped - probably less than 1000, if that.

If anyone wants 'em - gis a shout - yours for the price of the postage, maybe a pint on top ;-)

It's amazing how 80's tin has a tendency to do that to people.

Oh ah. I thought the 1.6 GTi had drums on the back. Yours had the 1.9 disc conversion?

had a bit of a play last night with a fiesta ST its nice to know that my 20 yr old french shed can still run with some of the modern stuff :) although i feel that a quick freshen up, some weight loss and a few quid flung at her will see me even happier :)

yup also has a 1.9 engine fitted as well :)

Nice. *jealous*

o'course I'll be more jealous when you come to your senses and stick an Mi16 lump in there... :-D

I'm sure Rob used to have a 205 Mi16...

a brief flirtation about 4 years ago but i was too stupid and didnt realise what a great car it could have been i was seduced with the power of valver novas :)

So it's got the 1.6 gearbox then?

I hear that's a rather good thing....

Sure you're not getting that mixed up with a Punto V8?

Yup 1600 box needs a bit(read a lot) of work but she'll get there

Limiter at about 130iirc, and it'll pull all the way till it hits it with a bump :-)
