This is exactly why I've bought this - I might have to really cut back soon, and I'd rather have something uncomplicated like this than something much newer but relatively complicated.

Someone in UKRM had a Y reg Laguna for sale the other day for £600ono - full MOT, sensible miles and loads of history... but much as I was tempted, if the reason I've bought another car is to cut my costs down and hopefully have something I enjoy driving as well, then I think the Nova is a better buy.

Rotten strut tops perchance?

I'm going over it with a very fine comb when I go to collect it on Wednesday - I was assured it had no rot anywhere underneath before I bid on it.

A 600 mile + round trip says it'll have to have something major up with it for me to not bring it back with me. :-)

You're doubling it's value travelling to get it hehe! What about rotten strut tops ;-) ? I suppose there is no defect that isn't worth a "That's not as described so can I have £50 off? And remember Mr Seller of Nova Man, you can't negative feedback me, but I can of course, negative YOU mwahaha!".

Nope, rotten front cross member, resulting in the track control arms basically ripping off. And it rotted from the inside out so wasn't particularly easy to spot.
