Zeni tani it was built by i missed that out :-P

Well, it may have been quick, but lets be honest, it looked absolutely s**te :)

I was wondering that too - but i didn't get the 710 joke so that's not surprising.

Well that's one less shitwagon on the road then.

Q: Why did he make the car so fast ?

A: Because he didn't want anyone looking at it.

External wastegate, with the wastegate vented to atmos instead of being routed back into the exhaust like a normal internal or external wastegate.

Keeps exhaust pressures even. Less change of the gate sticking open, and it makes a road car sound like a WRC car when the wastegate cheeps and chirps, and it sounds loud as it is virtually unsilenced exhaust.

hehe that's funny, twas a bit fugly i agree

I think I remember that arriving and the new owner being really chuffed with it.

wow i want, would love that WRC sound, how many beamers and chav's could you s*it up with that! whack anti lag into it as well and that would be a dream set up haha :)

In news:5fydnZ_we snipped-for-privacy@pipex.net, Vamp decided to enlighten our sheltered souls with a rant as follows

The turbo on my old Cossie used to make some funky noises. Full on WRC spec wurble from the wastegate.

Unfortunately, it used to mangle GpA Kevlar dump valves in under 1500 miles, and was *much* slower with them than with the standard Ford item..

36 psi and a double capacity intercooler tends to be a bit destructive to 'em.

It's illegal on the road in the UK. but is only noticable at high revs because the boost needs to overpower the wastegate settings, so at idle during the MOT, if it is built right, nobody would notice the very short extra open exhaust.

heh didn't know that, why is it illegal?

yep, and noise., and it is fun, so on those grounds alone it was banned.

As Doki said emissions probably, but prior to that, how much noise does an engine make without an exhaust?

because basically when the wastegate is open the engine is running with a fully open exhaust noise wise.

Perhaps but on a pre cat test car it shouldnt make any difference apart from on boost noise
