Local latecomer NIMBYs are trying to close down one of the oldest motor- racing circuits in the UK, still in use, because of Noise issues.
If you don't want the noise, don't live next to a circuit. Surely it isn't that tricky to work out.
Save Castle Coombe circuit.

we have same problem locally with an airport.. (and the odd thing is, the planes now are quieter than they were when it was an RAF base!!!

Yeah, don't know if you've ever flown from Manchester airport but if you have you'll notice how when climbing, the planes quickly bank to the right.
NIMBY Knutsford and Alderley Edge residents don't like the noise.
