I suspect there's a black rubbing strip in the back bumper - I've never cared enough to bother looking, and Ford's website doesn't seem to have a nice easy rear shot.

OK, so there's a black section in it - but it'd look horribly slabby with that in body colour too.

All the ones I have seen on the road seem to have it, perhaps a newer model on its way?

True, It's barely been out a year. On the whole it doesn't look bad. It is what it is, a small hatchback.

Early '90s? I think it was the Cavalier & Primera that were so similar you could actually use the same rear window in both.

'60s? There's not many people who can tell a Pug 404 and a BMC Farina apart at a glance.

And don't even go near the utter identikit nature of much of the '30s and '50s grey porridge.

The ST / RS version is going to have a Clio 197 style diffuser then...
