Today's Run

Took the 75, freshly shod with some quite funky Marangoni tyres up to the MOD training ground in the Epynt mountain.

Surprisingly traffic-free run and I can report that, although the Marangonis aren't as grippy as P6000s, they're very forgiving, meaning I was a lot more confident in getting a boot full of power down coming out of the bends.

Did around 120 miles all-in but came back with a blowing exhaust.

Getting a pair of ramps tomorrow to investigate.

That's happening tomorrow - I have to take it out of 'winter mode' today.

Today I did a rather splendid 140odd miles from just outside Glasgow to Lochailort in the MX-5 with the roof down.

There were lots of bank holidaymakers driving about.

I overtook them.

All of them.

I love Epynt. Have driven through a fair bit of it in the old Ovlov when we marshalled the Rally GB a few years back. Amazing roads and amazing scenery!

Car's looking good too. Please sort out those wheels though :) I see a white 75 every day on my way into work with what I assume are 5 spoke revs - looks the nuts!

Wheels aren't going to be 'sorted out', as you put it.

I quite like them, and I've just had a new set of tyres. I *could* get some 14" Revolutions and use the same tyres, I suppose - but I've been struggling to find any.

Escaped then? I'm off to an entirely new (to me) hospital on Wednesday - all the way in Birmingham (Heartlands if anyone knows it - if it's a shithole I don't wanna know :-) ), for some reasonably very major surgery on my back on Friday, the plan been to remove everything they think they've killed. Game on. I hope I'm still bendy enough after to buy the car I lust over, otherwise I'll have to get an S2000.
