I would appreciate your advice gentlemen please on the Toyota Corolla 1.8 VVTL-i T Sport. good bad or indifferent,do you think it would be a good buy or can you offer better alternatives in the same price range?

Expensive for what they are. But very reliable and VTEC engine is nice if you like revving it's nuts off :-) Same engine as celica and lotus exige...
On paper doesn't seem very fast, but toyota figures are conservative.
it's not VTEC it's VVTI,VTEC is honda :-P

actually it's VVTLI (variable valve timing with lift) with the Yamaha head. Ordinary ones are VVTI.
