An associate of mine used to do navving in nav events around here, there used to be a couple of local characters doing events (in order to get stage rally licenses) in some sort of Lotus Esprit and Porsche 911. From what I gather, if you go wrong in a fast car you go much further wrong and faster, so I gather that in fact having a fast car is not an advantage.

Aye, there's every bit as much skill in the navigating as there is in the driving - if you're not concentrating 563.47% you *will* f*ck up.
As I've posted several times before. I tested a Ka, because we'd had a couple of Fords and it was something you did at the time..... it was absolutely s**te.

Well I drive an R reg Rover 216 so that's probably high on the list. No pipe and slippers yet but then I'm only 26. Figured I'd wait until I'm 30 first :)

tell me about it, filled the BMW the otherday, got onto the red mark and £50 quid got it back to the top ouch! still got 300miles for my 50 quid lol so slightly better range than the MR2
That's not terrible really - any moderately thirsty big (or big-ish) engined car costing less than 20p/mile on fuel when driven reasonably hard is doing ok.
