See if you can get a Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole (2.0 16v) - they go for buttons, but are fast as s*it off a highly polished shovel :)

Find me one for buttons, please, 'cos I've been looking and not only can I only find about 3 for sale UK-wide, they're all going for £1.5-£2.5k.

Blimey they've gone up a bit then - was looking at getting one last year, saw two - one offered at 600 quid, the other 750. If they're worth that much now, I wish I'd have gotten one! The only thing putting me off was fuel consumption, they do tend to be rather thirsty, particularly when driven hard which is the only way to drive one of these :)

No - Citroen could charge X for the 1.0 base and X+800 for the 1.1, thus making another £800 profit. :)

I don't think he was comparing the 1 litre with the 1.1, just that someone mentioned the 1 litre as a general descriptor for the "small petrol one". I'm pretty sure he was on about there being little point in the 1.5D compared to the 1.1.

The city.

Although the 1.1 is smoother, quieter, peppier and almost as frugal on a run, for short haul trips such as in a city the 1.1 petrol is notably thirstier than the diesel.

The 1.5 XUD doesn't really bat an eyelid for cold running. :)

I wouldn't entertain the petrol 1.1 version if I could get the 1.5 diesel, but then I'm strange like that.

I did, but haven't replied yet. I'm like that with emails sometimes! I'll chat lots of s*it on MSN, but not bother to write an email. Mainly, I suppose, 'cos I'll want to actually think about what I put in an email, and I'll just go on about nothing in particular on MSN (as some in here who I chat to on MSN may have worked out...).

I've had 1.1 and 1.5D... I can honestly say the 1.1 was pretty comparable, day in day out, to the 1.5D in terms of economy, but when you factor in performance, the 1.1 is a much better overall choice.

And I'm normally pro diesel.
