DAMN George! That's just craziness. Why is that do you think?

Ah the how much profit is necessary question. One of my favorites in my EMBA classes. The answer of course is every damn dime. The issue isn't with the companies themselves, it is with the shareholders who want a return on their investment. If you own stock in any form,

401K. 457B, corporate retirement plan, mutual funds, or shares out right you want your return on investment and are part of the problem. We will all complain about the prices of things, while at the same time smile as our investment portfolios grow.

Actual, Monterey, CA, US $700,000+ (not much quality for that price either, entry level cottage/condos start at $500,000)

The mean is somewhere around $40,000 to $45,000US.

Several tiers, depends on education:

Service jobs around $20,000 to $30,000US College or graduate degree generally $40,000 to $90,000US, most at or below $60K. Average Monterey/Carmel retiree: not concerned about money (it grows on trees?)

This can range up to $4.50 in certain areas or when not discounted.

Add 20-50 cents for high cost and income area.

Mustang GTs: Selling off the truck for $4,000 or $5,000 over sticker. People paying for them without a test drive. People following delivery trucks to dealerships. All salesmen calling 6 different people when a shipment is coming in, first come gets it.

Mustang 6cyl: Not-too-pretty brown metalic with basic black interior and auto transmission sitting in the showroom for $26K, also $4,000 over sticker.

Can you actually GET one though? My guess is they'll sell all they can in the US before shipping many to Canada.

[Also, even with a $5K markup the GT runs about $32K here.]

Monterey is so beautiful, but enough to warrant those prices.

It provides an excuse for diverting mortgage money into fast cars. [A little black humor.]

Ok, you can do that! After all, you may need to increase the size of your garage as your collection increases and when you own the joint that's hard to do!

We got ours at MSPR plus tax title and tags. They wont come down on the price but at least our dealer didnt mark it up. If you would like to get a mustang email ford dealerships with in a what ever mile radius your willing to travel to. Send the email out to all the dealerships and include each dealership in the "to" so that all the dealerships can see that they are competing for a sale. tell the dealerships that what you want and how much you are willing to pay. also tell they how much you are willing to put down and how much you want for your trade in. You should start to get replys and the dealers will respond to you and try to out do each other before you even set foot in the dealership. When you ve narrowed it down to a couple, go check them out if the travel distance permits. If they try to change the deal jsut walk out. You can still get your 05 and not get beat up on the price you just have to purchase wisely.

What you say is true. Locally, Sheehy Ford of Springfield would sell one for $250 under MSRP, if they had it. I would have had to wait for

12 weeks or so, and pray that what I wanted was what came in. The instant gratification cost $1000. Was it worth it? Yup.

That car is just a joy to drive!

On the 'PocoLoco' out of Deale, MD, on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay!
