Access to NG

My son just bought a non-mustang (Honda) ( I know...where did I go wrong) and would like access to the Honda NG like this, but he's non-aol.

I know it can be done.

Can anyone here help me in knowing how to set it up.

Thanks....at least my 2 other kids have Mustangs

Get a subscription to giganews or any decent news provider. Either that or dump the overpriced shit that is AOHell and get a real ISP that doesn't make you use any proprietary software and offers decent performance, that and a good newsgroup service. You'll be miles and dollars ahead with anyone else.

There are tons of ways to do it. I am (thanking my lucky stars) a non AOLer myself.

Now, a lot of the guys in here will probably flame me for saying this BUT.. I like Outlook Express for accessing the groups. It's easy to set up, and easy to access the groups and monitor your email at the same time and it comes on your PC.

I am another Outhouse Express user for newsgroups. Like Kate said, it's very easy to set up.

SVTKate opined in news:4wW2b.1202$ snipped-for-privacy@newssvr13.news.prodigy.com:

Like KAte says...

OE is VERY easy to set up... Tehre are, on my (supernews) server, three Honda newsgroups.

In OE, all you have to do is set up the address of the ISP news server, download the list, and type "Honda" in the search box and click to subscribe.

I now use XNews and it has some advantages but is NOWHERE near as easy to use as OE...

As to AOL, they've always trumpeted it's user friendly interface... but the REAL issue is how easy it is to embed commercial advertising for extra cost sales.

It always amused me to see folks vilify Bill Gates when it was obvious Steve Case is the embodiment of evil... Look what happened to Time Warner!

OE is good to use for newsgroups it's easy to use, easy to setup and it's interface looks just like the rest of the M$ products...
