Tim,

Do you know for certain if I can use an A3M EEC to do a Speed density to Mass air conversion on my son's 89 LX? AOD tranny. used to be a 2.3 and I swapped in an 88 motor.

Thanks DaveT

What is the computer out of ? (year, model, transmission, etc.)

The decal on it should say something similiar to: EECIV SFI-MA12 E9ZF-12A650-D2A in small letters on the left side.

Please feel free to contact me personally with this info, just remove "petition" from above E-mail

Thanks,

I just ran the computer and it will NOT work for your conversion due to the fact it is a 5 speed computer and you need one for an automatic. That specific computer is from a 93 5.0L SFI-MA Mustang 5-spd

You can use an automatic computer in a 5 speed car but can NOT use a 5 speed computer in an automatic. The difference is it needs the torque converter lockup signal as well as a few other outputs for the transmission.
