Re: ANY CHANCE OF A AUTOMATIC COBRA?

Can I hide in that corner with you? I agree, it just doesn't seem right to put an auto in a Cobra. Something blasphemous about it in my mind. I know there are a lot of advantages to the auto tranny, and as far as convenience for those that drive a lot in traffic or commute it would be an advantage, but I think that ... it's just wrong. Then the minivan/SUV crowd would take over, and ... oh the thought just makes me shudder.

I agree. However, the only other person I know that can drive a manual is my mother (of all people). Nobody else I know can do it. It's really sad that the ability to use a stick and clutch is becoming a lost art. I personally have never even owned a car with an automatic tranny.

wow, that's depressing. :) There are 5 cars in my driveway, ONE of them is automatic. Almost everyone I know at least knows how to drive one, if not own one. Sam(uel) '95 GT not stock anymore

I must have an odd family :) everyone here at least knows how to drive a stick if not actually owns one (we have 2 cars now that are stick - my 2003 GT and my little sisters 1990 Mazda 626). The other cars are a 93 Ford Cargo Van, 1995 Crown Vic (auto), another 1990 626 (auto) and a toyota truck (dunno what year but it's an auto). And then there was my 2k V6 Mustang with an auto, but fortunately that car is long gone :) That's for the four of us who know how to drive stick :)
