I've never read the driving group, but anything that is titled "Stupid" and then levels a volley at Ford, is designed to inflame the Blue Oval faithful. Bringing in onlookers with different makes just adds to the fire. This is classic trolling that RAMFM has been involved in as a favorite target for many years. Still works a bit, but the considerable decrease in population here doesn't quite garner the same results as it used to.

My only "problem" right now is fixing all the M. Mouse maneuvers the P/O of my '70 Torino and his father exacted upon it. I remain unaffected by the banter here, except for the humor I find in the sickness. I was merely pointing out that Chris and you have endured criticism by others besides me of the way your argumentative logic functions.

No; that's the brainwash that Patrick has been jamming into this group forever, as he is a self-apponted trumpeter of all things modern.

The funny thing is, the cars in the Musclecar Shootout show, religiously restored to showroom specs by Legendary, all ran pretty damn close to the ET's they turned in period magazines. Why do you think that is, Brent, with those tests being bogus and all?

Sorry, my point about *you* has been made, and that was the idea in the first place.

I was in complete control. Hence my quite erudite responses. Again, you've proven my previous assertion. The fact that once you've lost the argument, you change the subject to divert the attention from your intellectual dishonesty, and to feed your narcissism which won't allow you to admit you're wrong when proven so. Everyone watching this thread has just seen you do exactly what I predicted you would. Try again after you've done your research and are willing to face documented facts, whether you like them or not. People thought the world was flat at one time, that didn't mean it was true. Now you take the coward's route (typical of a narcissist) by ignoring the facts, calling off the debate, and still claiming the high road as if I were the one with a moral flaw. HAH!

Public behavior has nothing to do with Usenet, you poor twit. Confusing the two is just sad and oh so wrong.

There is nothing to discuss. You've shown us you are an idiot. We rejoice that you are not a Ford owner. Happy ending.

Yes I am, but I am not the OP. The OP is "Scott en Aztlan" whose first name is also, obviously, Scott. I could see why this may have caused some confusion. I was even confused for a short time about which Scott was being talked about in some posts. Here's the OP info.

I've never driven a Geo, but, say, an old VW Rabbit is actually pretty fun to drive compared to a lot of more upmarket, modern machinery. So I guess we agree. Not really a good thing, but...

damn. I really have to get the Stude fixed. (speaking of cars which weren't much thought of back in the day...)

The OP (scott in atzlan or whatever) has owned a few mustangs... it has more to do with style. There are a number of things that ford does that I am not too happy about as well. I took it as his frustrations with big corporate marketing, similiar to my own.

No, this was a typical post regarding impressions of a car in r.a.d. This time the car happened to be a mustang. I've read both groups for some time, I didn't it see it as a troll.

Yeah, same here. (well, I don't read the mustang group, but still.) I mean, I've made some pretty critical statements in this thread as well but that doesn't mean that I am down on mustangs in general... just confused by some people's buying choices, and disappointed at some of Ford's choices as well.

Neither have I, but I also compared it to the end of driving as we know it to make it look better ;)

Not at all. There are two types of people who behave like a little brat (like you do) on usenet: The ones who behave like a little brat in real life too and the cowards who don't dare to behave like little brats in real life and hide their antics behind the anonymity of usenet.

On the contrary, from the way someone behaves on usenet you can find out more about the way he really is than from the way he behaves in public.

It's amusing to see how you two (I don't read the Mustang board, so I can't say anything about the others there) resemble ricers in your bratty behavior, your pityful bragging and your constant attempts to make this thread a Ford-GM war. For my own amusement I read a Honda board and you guys (not the Mustang community but specifically the two of you) bear an uncanny resemblance of the ricers in there.

You guys need to learn a minimum of tolerance and a minimum of civil behavior. At age 13 being a brat on usenet is excusable, at age 25 it is not. At age 13 'my Ford is better than your Chevy' is excusable, at age 25 it is not.

I have quite a number of Friends who drive smallblock- and bigblock Fords and assorted other muscle cars and all of them would be very embarrassed to be caught behaving as juvenile and ricerlike as you are doing in here.

Peace

Chris

You mean juvenile, not erudite. If that is what you call control, you are even less in control than I originally thought. That your Mustang friends are supposedly applauding your juvenile behavior (namecalling, flamewars and 'my Ford is better than your GM' are juvenile, nothing more, nothing less) doesn't exactly make them look good.

Flame- and brandwarring brats like you exist in both the Mustang and the GM scene but fortunately in both scenes they are the minority. And most of the usenet brats I encountered in real life are not that bratty once they can't hide behind their anonymity any more.

It would be amusing to meet you in real life and to see how brash you still are when you have to show your face.

To quote Roy D Mercer. "Just how big a boy are ya?"

I have no need to hide, I stick out in a crowd. 6'4" 280lbs, built like a linebacker, obviously ex-military. Not the type that wise people generally choose to f*ck with.

You prove all my previous points about your personality type. I'm done with ya. Have a day. :?|
