I need to transport my '73 Mustang roughly 200 miles to my new home. It currently doesn't run, and I"m sure the tires on it now are in no condition for me to tow it, but they might be, doubtful though. I don't have a lot of ideas at this point, I mean, I don't think someone with a wrecker is going to haul it that far. I guess they might but I wonder what it would cost. Also, because it doesn't run how could I get it on a trailer, etc, so that it can be towed/hauled?

You can always rent a trailor, tow bar, or tow dolly from U-Haul or one of the other rental companies. If you have access to a car hauler, you can get it onboard with a come-along (a manual winch available at most parts stores). It will take a few minutes and the help of a friend, but you can buy a decent one for $20 or so. If you have about 4 people you can easily push the car onto whatever towing system you might have.
Just be sure to secure the car correctly for the piece of equipment you use... it would be real bad to take off and leave the car behind when it rolls off the trailor ...even worse to hit the brakes and get run over by your own car.
How about a 2003 Cobra? It should have enough horsepower to do the job. And get some rope...lots of rope.

neighbor broke down about 300 miles from home... he had the car towed home, cost him $300.... newswoman was transferred to my place from 200 miles away... her car was delivered on a trailer being pulled by a 3/4 to 1 ton pickup truck... dont know what she paid for the move........ and they could always push the car up the ramp onto the trailer to get it there..
