What did they do to attempt to fix the door rattling?

I still need to bring it in for the recall on the front seat airbag switch (which appears to be functioning properly). They also told me they would do other upgrades, including fixing something to solve the sliding door rattling.

I have a few ideas that might work. However, it would involve adjustment on the mounting brackets which, at this point, I am hesitant to tamper with until I am sure they will not give me any lip or threaten to void the warranty. One other thing I thought of was to attach a rubber spacer to the inside of the door, where the door bumper makes contact. This might keep pressure on the door to prevent rattling (?). I got the idea after I closed a rag in the door and the rattling stopped.

not to sound like a smart ass but ... you may want to get used to it.

There ain't an 04 Quest that does not have some sort of noise from the sliding doors.

Every Quest that comes into the shop has a laundry list of squeaks and rattles.

I'd suggest at the end of your lease to get rid of it , They are about the worst designed and built vehicles since the CG22 van back in the mid 80's . Nissan ended up buying them back after an unprecedented 4 major recalls.

I've had my Quest for almost a year now with NO problems except for poor gas mileage. I just now started getting the rattle after the sliding door slammed open on a steep driveway. I can't believe Nissan has not come up with a hard fix for this. Come on, squeaks and rattles? If I have to I'll find the solution myself, sell it on eBay...
