I am having problems timing in my z24 motor. I found some play in the rotor and determined that it was coming from the gears on the oil pump shaft. Would this cause the timing to seem to come in and out of time? On cold startup it is fine but after a while of running it will start as thought the timing is out of sync. (backfire and sputtering). Thanks for any help.
