windsheild washer 240sx

Hey all,

The windsheild washers on my '89 240SX don't work. I'm guessing that it's the pump - what else should I check other than fuses? Any relays? Where are the windsheild pumps located, and how do I test them?

It plugs into the reservoir. First listen in the vicinity of the reservoir for the sound of the pump (I stretched a rubber band around the handle and the steering wheel to keep it on while checking). If you hear anything, then look for a collapsed or disconnected hose or clogged nozzles.

If no pump noise, check to see if there is 12V at the connector on the pump when the washer switch is pulled (and ignition on). If there is voltage, replace the motor. If no voltage then check the wiring (fuses, grounds, etc.) back to the switch.
