1992 Maxima Radio Install Problems

Hi All,

Just got my Maxima 4 weeks ago.

1992 Automatic 3.0L SOHC

Now I have the stock am/fm casette deck in there right now. This morning I made an attempt to install my alpine CD player in the car with all the proper harnesses and also the adapter for the antenna......etc etc. Once everything was plugged in, the radio worked...........everything worked except the darn rear speakers? Not just one rear speaker but both. Can anybody enlighten me as to why everything but these 2 rear speakers worked? Please help.

I think '92 still had a common ground system or there is a factory amp in line with the rear speakers. Easiest to just run seperate wires to the rears.

I just installed a new Clarion in my 93 Maxima. I bought the special adapter from Crutchfield ($50)for Bose speakers. Works great, no problem at all.
