Tires for 2001 Maxima GXE

Sep 11, 2003 6 Replies

I have the factory tires (215/55-16) which I'd like to replace. I don't necessarily need high performance tires, but I would like a good brand, and a durable tire (More durable than those cheap Toyo's, at least). I would also prefer to spend less than $100 per tire. Anyone have any suggestions, preferrably tires that you've used?

thanks, Susheem

Go to COSTCO if you have one near where you live. They carry the best prices. They even beat the tire racks & co.

Costco is where thre real bargain is. I learned it the hard way.

Buy Sumitomo HTR+ , they are like ~100$ each. I bought them at Sears. Just size is 225/60/16, but it doesn't make any difference on speedometer or on tires size, because one number is bigger, another is smaller- you can see a difference read reviews about this tire on tire. They are very close to Michelin pilots (200$/each). I think its best tire for you money.

Yokohama db Tires. Excellent but not sure about tread life, expecting

30K but at $85 > I have the factory tires (215/55-16) which I'd like to replace. I
