Have a 99 Grand Am and the black gloss paint on window trim is starting to peel off. What is the best way to stop peeling and repaint the part now flat black?

The best way is to remove the trim, sand and smooth it, primer, repaint with a two part epoxy and then finish with a UV blocker urethane epoxy. And then carefully reinstall the trim.
