The internal boot light on my partner's 1995 414i hatchback (new shape) has a habit of staying on, draining the battery. (The dashboard "tailgate open" light also comes on, presumably becaause it is activated by the same switch.)
Sounds like the switch needs attention, but where is it? Nowhere to be seen around the tailgate. Or is the connection made through the tailgate catch? Grateful for any advice.
