Can anybody point me in the right direction to locate the tailgate light switch. I am finding that I shut the tailgate but the boot light and warning light remain on, this also stops the alarm from arming properly as it thinks the boot is open. I can't see where the switch is and the Haynes manual tells me nothing.

I had the same problem on my '98 V70. As it was under warranty at the time I had the dealer look at it. They changed the whole tailgate locking mechanism as the switch is apparently buried within it. I have seen other reports of the problem on this newsgroup. Geoff Williams - Dorset - UK
