But not seeing.....
Your caps is probably on, and what you get is the equivalent of shouting, which is not a very nice thing to do if you want something from other people.
Don't shout - turn your caps lock off (that's the first key from the left, on the 3rd row up, it says 'Caps Lock' on it.)
hm.... did you do any research on what you really want to buy? The only original factory SAAB convertibles are the classic 900, the New Generation 900 and the 9-3. The 96, 97 or 99 convertibles are all DIY jobs, and the 98..... For starters see

... I just soooooo wanted to make that reply, but you've got more 96, 97, 98 & 99s than I have :)
She'll probably come back and call us a bunch of two-strokers! Are two-strokers worse than just plain strokers? Probably an English joke anyway.

I was about to guess the color of her hair....
the '77 96 being a convertible too
I'm expecting flames now.

That's more of a targa than a cabrio, isn't it? Pretty unique, none the less...

I'm a big fan of that car - your car. I'm keeping it in mind for "some day".

Yes, I was inspired by the SAAB Catharina and I thought it would be easier to make than a full convertible without the rear window. Also, the rear window frame leaves a bit more ridgidity.

That is a nice set of SAAB pictures. Looks like you had a nice time, and good weather too.
The metallic blue '80 96 you are looking at in the picture is almost identical to the Dutch '79 96 jubilee series

huh, Alfa ?

What's that funky looking Alfa on the left ?
I think you're pulling my leg. That's a front end from a 240Z, the grill off a '67 Alfa, and the rear end of a Studebaker Hawk - chopped and channeled from the looks of it.

Ehhmm.. I think she's talking about production years, not model types :-)
Just curious: Why do so many women drive convertible cars?

They can't resist pulling their tops down? JK

:-) But seriously, most convertibles I see are driven by women. Very rarely do I see an open convertible. The only thing left then must be the style of a hooded car. But then men are also stupid driving huge 4x4s that never goes off road.
That is a good observation, IMO. I see lots of women driving convertibles, but with the tops up. I guess they do not want to mess up their hair too much. I don't understand what makes them want to get the ragtop to begin with.
OTOH, when I see men driving one (if it isn't raining) they invariably have the top down. I am a fan of convertibles for tooling around town and such. I once owned a Mazda RX-7 convertible on which I never put the top up all summer. I'd just park it in the garage with it down and if it was a nice day, varoom!!
On a modern SAAB convertible, it is a matter of 15 seconds of switch pressing from the driver's seat to put the top up or down. On my Jeep Wrangler it is about 5-10 minutes of struggling with zippers, manually erecting and folding of the frame, folding and unfolding the cloth top... But my Jeep still goes topless much more often than our (female) neighbor's
9-3 CV. Go figure...-Fred W
