Your cold start valve is bad. It is remaining open and allowing
>gasoline to flow into the intake. I am surpriised you could get it to >run properly.
You could have something there. My cold start valve was malfunctioning about a year ago that I disconnected the wiring to it. (It would flood so bad it wouldn't start at all.) But, it still has fuel to it and that may be where it's leaking in.
