I own 1995 saab 900s conv. lost my keys with the remote. after a big battel with the dealer and with ebays help and only $120 insted of $600 as per dealer i have a key and a remote. my next step is to program it. Anyone has any clues on how to program it with out going to the dealer?

You can't program it without a Tech II. That means a trip to the dealer or a Saab oriented mechanic. However, I don't think you can have it programmed at all unless you have at least one remote available. If you still have a spare, you are OK, otherwise, get out the big checkbook.

well the thing is i dont have a spare and i would need to do it from skretch. any ideas?

If the computer is not "locked" in anti-theft mode, you can probably have the dealer cut you a key. Otherwise you need to buy a new computer for a price in excess for $1000 last I heard. If the car is locked, you have no choice but to spring for the new computer.

The anti-theft system was designed so that no one could produce a scanner that would unlock it (which is often done to other makes of cars). The downside to that is that no one can reprogram the computer

- you have to replace it.
